I got tired of one of the major carriers charging me a small fortune for going over texts and minutes. I was going to go with another carrier but the phone I wanted was not available. Except for the web access with the $40 plan METRO PCS IS GREAT!...Sometimes the reception is not up to par, but for the $40 a month I am saving by switching it is a Godsend! The number port was EASY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE BEST!

Net10's plans are so straightforward and flexible, which is really refreshing. Life is complicated enough without having to deal with elaborate and rigid cellphone contracts. I've been quite pleased with the reception and signal strength since I switched. Just curious about the network situation, though--is Net10 still using the Sprint towers, as well as the Verizon and AT&T ones? If that's the case, it's no wonder I've never had a dropped call!

Net10 has been a really good choice for my family. We were getting bilked on a family contract plan that really isn't that family friendly at all. On Net10 I pay about 75 dollars less for everyone's phone plan (even though the phone selection isn't great) and there are noticeable improvements in service quality over the old plan.

Net10 is great and the best savings that i have ever gotten in a cellphone. I like being in control of my monthly bill and net10 really does give me the option. I have been with them for 4 months now and I am loving it. Their phones are not super fantastic, but you get what you pay for right??

Love tracfone! It's not a fancy option and it's more suited to low-use or bargain users. but, ffor what it is, the signal strength is OUTSTANDING for the price, it's like your stealing deluxe signal from a contract plan or something. Been great for me!

I have had Tracfone for years. I like it except that I seem to use the minutes up fast when I text. And the phones seem to have flaws. I wonder if one could get a new rather than reconditioned phone. I am on my third Tracfone. My first was very basic, but it worked well. My second was practically impossible to text on. My third and present one works, but the texting, again, does not work quite right, and it used to receive pictures and it quit receiving them. But it did come with double minutes, and the price was great. I have the value plan, and the past two months, the minutes did not come through automatically like they should, and I had to call customer service. Both times, the service representatives were helpful, and eventually solved the problem. The last time, they reprogrammed my phone, so it should not happen again.

Net10 has been pretty good to me. First of all, let me say that the reception is the best I have gotten off of any cell phone. I have bars everywhere I go. This is because they use Verizon and ATT to broadcast so it's a huge network. The customer service is terrible, but there are alternatives to calling them like their FB page and website. The phones aren't great either, but this is why it only costs 50 per month.

The phone wouldn't activate. Support kept telling me it was activated. They couldn't understand that it said "device not active". I spent a day trying to fight thru the language barrier. The phones on their side were breaking up and one rep clomplained about problems with the phone he was using. They wouldn't take the phone back until I disputed my credit card charge. I have to pay to ship the defective phone it back to them amd then maybe I'll get a refund. If they sent me a free phone I wouldn't use it because their suppport is so bad I won't rely on them.

let's just get something straight here your only paying $50/month for unlimited service and you get the guarantee of the verizon network for coverage. I don't think there is a lot to be talked about here. This is a deal to be jumped on. Yeah costumer service is not up to peoples standards or the phones are not too high tech. But a phone is a phone people. These are the reasons that have kept me a loyal net10 costumer :) when you want something cheap there is always going to be a catch about it, just deal with it.
